Rich, it’s your turn.

TAKE THE COWBOYS TONIGHT -6.5. Buy the half point down so you don’t get stuck losing the juice.

NCAA and Rant

November 23rd, 2007

Sorry for the hiatus. Been kinda busy with this whole work + travel + Michigan coaching change thing. PLEASE God give me Les Miles for Christmas. Please NO Kirk Ferentz. I can not live through another Lloyd. I just can’t.

Ok here we go:

-I hope all out there took USC -3 last night. Wow, that was too easy. Sorry Carm.

Friday and Saturday NCAAF:

Neb @ Colorado -3. This is the end for Bill Callahan. Tom Osborne should have fired Bill a month or so ago but wants the Husker fanbase to have their fun with him for first. Some guy that Osborne. Everyone says he’s real “classy.” Ask a Husker fan and they’ll tell you he’s the second coming. I think he’s a total POS for not only sacrificing Callahan to the masses but also for the thievery he pulled by crying to the masses in 1997-1998 before his Orange Bowl contest against Peyon Manning that the game would be his last. The Coaches poll knocked Michigan to #2 by a vote of 32-30 while the AP did the right thing and kept Michigan at top by a vote of 51-17. Go to hell Osborne.

Ole Miss +6 @ Miss State. I think Coach O has to pull 1 big win out and I think this will be it.

Ar-Kansas +13.5 @ LSU. LSU is said to be injury ridden on D and the Michigan rumors can’t be helping Les and his boys. I still expect LSU to win but not by much.

Texas -6.5 @ Tex A&M. See ya Coach Fran. Another true POS in the college game. His stint at Bama in which he lied to his players about not leaving for A&M and then left his DC to tell them before their bowl game that he had left was one of the most unethical maneuvers I’ve ever seen. Second to maybe only Bobby Petrino’s lying about his middle of the night interview with Auburn.

Boise State +3 @ Hawaii. Hawaii been playing way too close lately. Chris Peterson is a GREAT coach and will have the smurf turfers ready for battle against those fearsome Rainbow Warriors and their tribal leader, Colt Brennan.

UConn +17.5 @ West Virginia. Uconn is solid, albeit on the road. Gotta take the points. Too many not too.

Missouri +1.5 @ Kansas. This is a tough one but by almost all accounts I’ve been told Missouri is the tougher team. I can’t believe I’m watching this game btw at this point of the season. I’ve never watched more than 1 quarter of either one of these powerhouse programs.

Clemson @ South Carolina +2.5. Home dawg with Spurrier? Love it. Regardless of them losing 4 in a row. A public callout by Spurrier + the fact that Tommy Bowden is hanging on by a thread=a SC win and a new coach for Clemson.

Tennessee @ Kentucky -2.5. Fulmer your luck has run out. Take that job in the AD building before you get left on the side of the road.

Oregon @ UCLA -1. Brady Leaf? Brother of Ryan? No thanks.

Alabama @ Auburn -6. Love Tommy Tubberville in this matchup. Much better team and opportunity to stick it to Nick Satan. Enjoy your stay in Tuscaloosa Satan.

Georgia -3.5 @ GA Tech. See ya Chan Gailey. Richt is 6-0 against Tech. Ouch.

OK State -12.5 @ Oklahoma. No Demarco Murray, I expect a 6 point game. Take the points.

Notre Dame -3.5 @ Stanford. I can’t believe I’m picking this but I am.

Good luck peoples. NFL Picks up tomorrow.

Tonight’s Picks: Review

November 16th, 2007

Spurs were a complete dud. No explanation.

Phoenix was a solid pick at both half and full game.

Oregon, Oregon, Oregon. Juddy deserves props for calling the upset. Big props. And boy does he demand them. Well, Juddy I got a super-size portion of props right here for ya! Congrats!

Now, I don’t think for a second that the oddsmakers thought that Dennis Dixon’s knee would buckle in the FIRST QUARTER setting off a downward spiral for the Ducks. So while this Wildcat upset was great for Juddy and the Arizona faithful, I don’t believe for a second that they would have won had Dennis Dixon finished the game. Not for a second. Not to mention, Mike Stoops is still an average coach and Arizona is not a threat to anything.

Now Juddy get back to those Yahoo Pick Ems or you are going to owe me and Niebizz beers.

Tonight’s NCAA and NBA Games

November 15th, 2007

NBA

Spurs +2 at Mavs. Take the Spurs for the rest of your life as long as the spread is under 10.

Bulls at Suns -8.5. Take the Suns in Phoenix, Bulls are not very good on the road and the Suns are VERY good at home.

NCAA

Oregon -10 at Arizona. I’m not in love with this pick. But getting thumped by 4 tds in Eugene last year should remind the Ducks to show up for this one. If Dixon’s healthy, the quacks win by at least 14.

*However, my boy Juddy wants to take a shot at fame here. He PROMISES you that Oregon will lose tonight in Tuscon. Couple things you need to know about Juddy are that 1) He knows his Pac 10 football, guy’s rabid and 2) He has been telling me for 3-4 years now that Mike Stoops is building something intriguing at Arizona.

I respect Juddy’s Pac 10 knowledge, I do, but I think Mike Stoops and Arizona are and have been and will continue to be severely overrated. This is your chance to make me eat some crow Juddy boy.

I’m hoping to get another free six pack out of this game. Let’s go Ducks!

College football picks and NFL picks will be in tonight. I will not be around this weekend due to a little trip to Michigan to make sure that Buckeye fans all across the country are crying come Christmas time.

I’m a fucking idiot

November 15th, 2007

Flip Saunders actually guided a great comeback effort. Down 22, the Pistons rallied to a deficit of 13 at half and conquered Baron’s Warriors 111-104. Damn. Didn’t see that coming.

NBA Observations

November 14th, 2007

Utah good pick.

Detroit terrible pick. Chauncey + McDyess out=dogshit effort from the Pistons especially on defense. This effort should be presumed due to the fact that fucking idiot Flip Saunders is coaching Detroit. Once again I have convinced myself that the Pistons would adjust defensively. But no, 48 points for the Warriors with 9:15 left in the 2nd quarter has me guessing they probably are not making very good adjustments. Did I mention that Flip Saunders is a fucking moron?

How about the fact that Rip and Tayshaun are soft? I would trade them both and even throw in Flip Murray’s sorry ass right now for Kobe Bryant. Of course, that’s not going to happen b/c a) Joe Dumars believes in both Prince and Rip and b) there is no way that Kobe’s wife is going to want to live in Detroit. Here’s a thought: Maybe he can leave her in Newport?

MTR seems to think that Flip’s zone defense is impressive. Defend yourself MTR. At this rate, the Warriors are going to score 140 tonight against that vaunted bullshit zone defense.

Other notes:

  • Kobe Bryant is officially the basketball version of Jesus, Allah, or whoever the hell you worship.
  • Luke Walton is quite possibly the ugliest and most worthless player in the NBA yet Kobe finds some way to camoflauge his ass into something resembling a contributing teammate.
  • Jeff Van Gundy is not a bad announcer. I like a guy that calls himself out for past behavior on national television.
  • The Celtics are for real. They are 7-0 ATS. That’s good people. You might want to start relying on them for money like you do the Spurs. Here’s a hint: No longer rely on the Pistons.

Tonight’s NBA Picks

November 14th, 2007

Utah -1 @ Toronto

Detroit -2.5 @ Golden State

Tonight’s NBA Pick

November 13th, 2007

Detroit -5 at Portland. Detroit has won four in a row by more than 10 against the Blazers since Sheed arrived in the D.

Remember, always bet the Spurs as well.
